Elevate Your Bong Setup with the ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm
If you are serious about the quality of your smoking experience, the ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm is an accessory that deserves a place in your collection. ROOR has long been regarded as one of the most respected names in glass smoking accessories, and this coloured crown bowl is a perfect example of why. Combining premium borosilicate glass construction with eye-catching colour work, it is a piece that performs as brilliantly as it looks. Whether you are upgrading an existing ROOR bong or simply looking for a reliable, well-made bowl to replace a tired one, this is a worthy investment at an excellent price point.
Stunning Switchback Colour Work
One of the most immediately striking features of the ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm is its vibrant colour design. Each bowl features random, vivid colours applied to the crown section using a switchback reversal technique. This is a glassworking method where colours are layered and reversed to create deep, shifting tones that catch the light beautifully. Because the colours are applied randomly, no two bowls are exactly alike, meaning the piece you receive will be a genuinely individual item. Available in various colours, you can pick up several over time and build a small collection that adds a splash of personality to your smoking sessions. If you enjoy the look of this bowl, you might also want to browse the Glass Bowl Fly Art Limited Edition 14.5mm for another colourful and artistically crafted option.
Premium Borosilicate Glass Construction
The ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm is crafted from borosilicate glass, the same high-grade material used in laboratory equipment and trusted by top glassblowers worldwide. Borosilicate glass is prized for its resistance to thermal shock, meaning it can handle the repeated heating and cooling cycles that come with regular bong use without cracking or degrading. The glass walls on this bowl measure a reassuring 3.5mm in thickness, giving it a solid, premium feel in the hand and protecting it against the minor knocks and bumps of everyday use. This is not a flimsy piece — it is built to last and built to deliver consistently smooth results session after session.
Specifications and Fit
Getting the right fit for your bong is essential, and the ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm is designed to slot perfectly into any bong with a 14.5mm female ground joint. The ground joint connection is precision-ground to ensure an airtight seal, which is critical for achieving that full, creamy pull that ROOR pieces are known for. Here is a full breakdown of the key specifications:
– Ground Joint: 14.5mm
– Total Length: 85mm (measured from the bottom of the ground joint to the top of the crown)
– Glass Thickness: 3.5mm
– Internal Width: 2.5cm
– Height: 8.5cm
– Material: Borosilicate Glass
– Brand: ROOR
– Type: Glass Bowl
The 85mm overall length gives the bowl a comfortable, easy-to-handle profile, while the 2.5cm internal width means you can pack a generous amount of material for a longer, more satisfying session without needing to top up too frequently.
A Natural Match for ROOR Bongs
While this bowl will work with any compatible 14.5mm female joint bong, it is a natural pairing with ROOR glassware. The build quality, tolerances, and aesthetic sensibility all align with the ROOR range, so if you already own a ROOR bong, adding this crown bowl keeps your setup cohesive and ensures the joint fit is as precise as possible. To keep your bong and bowl performing at their best, regular cleaning is essential. The Black Leaf Bendable Bong Cleaning Brush 50cm Size L is an excellent tool for reaching deep into your bong, while the Pipe Cleaning Brush Oval Tip 48cm x 2cm is ideal for keeping the bowl stem and joint area spotless.
Getting the Best From Your Bowl
To maximise your experience with the ROOR Crown Bowl 14.5mm, a few simple habits go a long way. Using a quality hemp wick rather than a lighter directly on your material can help preserve the flavour profile of what you are smoking and reduce the intake of butane. The I-Tal Hemp Wick Supreme 250ft – Natural Beeswax Lighter is a superb option for this purpose, offering a long-lasting, natural beeswax-coated wick that burns cleanly and evenly. Pairing a quality wick with a premium bowl like this one makes a genuine difference to the overall experience.
Additionally, keeping your bowl clean after each use will maintain airflow and ensure the glass stays clear and fresh-looking. Given the beautiful colour work on the crown, it is well worth keeping this piece in top condition.
What Is in the Box

If you would like to build a matching or contrasting set, ordering multiple units is a great way to explore the full range of what is on offer.
