Overview: The Stemless Beaker Ice Bong From the Edit Collection
The Stemless Beaker Ice Rig With Jug Handle is one of the standout pieces from the Edit Collection, our own in-house line of quality glassware available exclusively at Discount Vapes Pipes and Smoking Supplies. Priced at just £19.95, this stemless beaker ice bong delivers an impressive combination of performance, style and durability that punches well above its price point. Whether you are a seasoned smoker looking for a reliable daily driver or a newcomer wanting a solid introduction to quality glass, this rig ticks all the right boxes.
Premium Borosilicate Glass Construction
Crafted from 4mm thick borosilicate glass, this piece is built to last. Borosilicate glass is widely regarded as the gold standard in glassware for smoking because of its resistance to thermal shock, its chemical inertness and its crystal-clear clarity. The 4mm wall thickness strikes the right balance between robustness and a manageable weight, so the rig feels solid in the hand without being cumbersome. The frosted glass finish gives the piece a premium, understated aesthetic that looks great on any surface. If you prefer something with a slightly thicker build, take a look at the EHLE Clear Ball Cylinder Bong 37cm Tall. Glass 5mm Thick for a comparison.
Inline Showerhead Percolator: Smooth Hits Every Time
At the heart of this stemless beaker ice bong is an inline showerhead percolator. The showerhead perc is one of the most popular percolator styles in the market, and for good reason. As smoke travels through the water chamber, it is forced through the multiple slits of the showerhead, dramatically increasing the surface area contact between the smoke and the water. This process, known as diffusion, cools the smoke, strips out a significant amount of harshness and delivers a noticeably cleaner, smoother hit compared to a bong without percolation. The stemless design means there is no separate downstem to worry about — the inline diffuser is fixed directly into the base, reducing points of failure and making cleaning more straightforward.
If you enjoy percolated rigs and want to explore other perc styles, the Bent Neck Double Honeycomb Perc Rig | Edit Collection is another excellent choice from our own range, offering dual honeycomb filtration in a similarly compact form.
Ice Notches for an Extra-Cool Experience
Three pinch ice notches are positioned in the neck of the tube, allowing you to drop ice cubes directly into the piece. As smoke travels up through the tube, it passes over and around the ice, dramatically reducing the temperature of each hit. The result is a noticeably cooler, smoother draw that is far kinder on the throat and lungs. This feature is particularly appreciated during longer sessions or by those who prefer their smoke as cool as possible. Combined with the inline showerhead percolator below, the cooling effect is double-layered and genuinely effective.
Jug-Style Handle: An Inventive Ergonomic Touch
One of the most distinctive features of this rig is its jug-style handle. Rather than gripping the tube directly, you can hold the piece by a sturdy, looped handle that runs along one side of the body — much like the handle on a jug. This seemingly simple addition makes a real difference in practice. It gives you a much more secure, comfortable and confident grip during use, and reduces the risk of accidental drops. It is a thoughtful design detail that elevates the user experience beyond what you would expect at this price.
Removable Bowl and Dab Rig Versatility
The rig ships with a female 14.5mm joint at a 60° angle, paired with a removable female 14.5mm glass bowl complete with a handle. The bowl simply slides out, which not only makes clearing the piece a breeze but also means you can swap in a vapour dome and nail of your choice to convert this bong into a functional dab rig for use with your preferred concentrates. This versatility makes the stemless beaker ice bong an excellent entry-level option for those curious about dabbing who do not want to invest in a dedicated rig straight away. Please note that the bowl style may vary slightly from the item pictured.
For those specifically looking for a dedicated concentrate rig, the GRAV Labs 5 Inch Circuit Mini Rig Teal is a popular option worth considering alongside this piece.
Technical Specifications at a Glance
The rig stands 27cm tall with a 10cm base diameter, giving it a stable footprint that will not tip easily. The mouthpiece measures 45mm in diameter. The joint size is 14.5mm at 60°, with a fixed inline diffuser — no separate downstem required. The piece features no carb hole, relying instead on the removable bowl slide for airflow control. Wall thickness is 4mm throughout, and the percolator is the inline showerhead style described above.
