Meet the Jane West Upright Bubbler by Grav Labs
The 5.5in Jane West Upright Bubbler is a beautifully considered piece from one of the most respected names in borosilicate glassware, Grav Labs. Designed in collaboration with renowned cannabis educator and advocate Jane West, this bubbler strikes a refined balance between compact convenience and genuinely satisfying water filtration. Whether you are new to bubblers or adding a signature piece to an established collection, the Jane West upright bubbler delivers a premium experience at an accessible price point of just £29.95.
Design and Aesthetics
At just 5.5in tall, this upright bubbler is perfectly proportioned for desktop sessions or careful storage when not in use. The silhouette is instantly recognisable as part of the Jane West collection — clean lines, a gently flared mouthpiece, and a wide, stable base that keeps the piece upright between draws without any risk of tipping. Grav Labs has long been celebrated for marrying visual elegance with practical engineering, and this piece is no exception. The clear borosilicate glass allows you to watch the water filtration in action, adding a satisfying visual element to every session.
The overall form factor is unisex and understated, making it a piece that looks equally at home on a minimalist shelf or a busy enthusiast’s desk. For those who appreciate well-crafted glass art that goes beyond the purely functional, this bubbler represents excellent value within the Grav Labs catalogue.

Borosilicate glass is the material of choice among serious glass enthusiasts for good reason — it is highly resistant to thermal shock, meaning it can handle the temperature changes that occur during normal use without cracking or weakening over time. This ensures your Jane West upright bubbler remains a reliable part of your collection for the long term.
How the Water Filtration Works
The upright bubbler format means that water sits in a chamber at the base of the piece. As smoke or vapour passes through the water, it is cooled and filtered, removing a significant portion of harshness before it reaches the mouthpiece. The result is a noticeably smoother draw compared to a traditional dry pipe, without the bulk or complexity of a full-sized bong. This makes the Jane West bubbler an ideal middle-ground piece — more filtration than a spoon pipe, more portability than a beaker bong.
If you are looking to explore further water filtration options, the Easy Clean Bubbler Removable Showerhead Diffuser | Edit is another excellent bubbler available in the store, offering a removable showerhead diffuser for enhanced percolation.
Complementary Accessories
To get the very best from your Jane West upright bubbler, pairing it with the right accessories makes a meaningful difference. Keeping the bowl and chamber clean ensures optimal flavour and airflow with every use. The GRAV 14mm 90 Degree Standard Ash Catcher is a natural companion from the same brand, helping to keep your piece cleaner for longer by catching ash before it reaches the water chamber. For maintaining cleanliness over time, the Black Leaf Bendable Bong Cleaning Brush 50cm Size L is a highly practical addition to any glassware owner’s toolkit, reaching into chambers and tubes with ease.
Who Is the Jane West Upright Bubbler For?
This piece is well suited to a wide range of users. For beginners, it offers a straightforward introduction to water-filtered smoking without the intimidation of a larger, more complex setup. For experienced collectors, it is a tasteful, brand-name addition that carries the credibility of both Grav Labs and the Jane West collaboration. Its compact size makes it especially practical for those with limited space, or for anyone who wants a high-quality piece they can use comfortably at home without committing to a large tabletop rig.
The Jane West collection is specifically designed with a broad audience in mind, moving away from niche or novelty aesthetics in favour of timeless, sophisticated glassware that anyone can appreciate and enjoy. If you are building out a collection and want pieces that reflect genuine craftsmanship, this bubbler belongs in the conversation.
