Celebrate 40 Years of Up in Smoke with the Great Dane Rig
The Famous Brandz Great Dane Rig is one of the most exciting releases in the Cheech and Chong dab rig range, launched to mark the 40th anniversary of the legendary stoner comedy Up in Smoke. This piece brings together genuine glass craftsmanship and iconic pop-culture heritage in a single collector-grade package. Whether you are a devoted fan of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong or simply searching for a high-quality concentrate rig with serious conversation-piece credentials, the Great Dane delivers on every front. At £59.95, it sits at an accessible price point for a hand-crafted borosilicate piece that also carries real collectible value.
Premium Hand-Blown Borosilicate Glass
The foundation of the Great Dane is its premium hand-blown borosilicate glass body. Borosilicate is the preferred material among serious glass enthusiasts because of its exceptional resistance to thermal shock – it can withstand the repeated heating and rapid cooling that concentrate use demands without cracking or warping over time. The thick walls give the rig a satisfying weight and solidity, reassuring you that this is a piece built to last. The clear glass allows you to observe vapour travelling through the chamber in real time, which adds to the overall experience. Smooth joins, a well-finished mouthpiece, and consistent glass thickness throughout all speak to the quality of the craftsmanship on display.
If you enjoy exploring premium percolated glass pieces, the Black Leaf – 24 Arm Tree Percolator Glass Bong is another exceptional borosilicate option in the store that showcases what quality glass filtration can achieve.
Shotgun Showerhead Percolator for Smooth, Filtered Hits
The standout functional feature of the Great Dane is its shotgun showerhead percolator. This percolator type forces vapour through multiple small holes simultaneously, breaking it into fine bubbles that dramatically increase the surface area in contact with the water. The practical result is a noticeably cooler, smoother hit compared to a plain straight tube. The percolator is calibrated to provide effective filtration without creating excessive drag, so the draw remains balanced and comfortable rather than laboured. The straight mouthpiece design keeps the airpath clean and direct, working in harmony with the percolator to give you a consistent, enjoyable experience every session.
